Matt named NATS Intern Program Master Teacher
Matt has been named a master teacher for the 2018 NATS Intern program to be held at University of Colorado Boulder. The NATS Intern Program is an exceptional training experience that seeks to pair expert and recognized master teachers with talented young members of NATS. Within an intensive format designed to promote the dynamic exchange of ideas and techniques, the goal is to improve substantially the studio teaching skills of voice interns and the coaching skills of collaborative piano interns. Other master teachers include Brian Gill (Indiana University), Margaret Cusack (Westminster Choir College), and Jan Prokop (NYC studio and Montclair State University). Matt awarded the Van L. Lawrence Fellowship!
Matt was awarded the prestigious Van L. Lawrence Fellowship presented by the Voice Foundation and National Association of Teachers of Singing. Matt will be pursuing a real-time MRI study of professional musical theatre performers in NYC at the NYU Medical Center with Dr. Aaron Johnson Ph. D. Read the official press release here.
