Matt moved to Winchester in August of 2010 to join the voice faculty of Shenandoah Conservatory. Below are a few highlights of his career.

 

Home town: Vandalia, Ohio 

Undergraduate education: Cleveland Institute of Music/Case Western Reserve University 

Graduate education: Louisiana State University 

Certification: Somatic Voicework™ - The LoVetri Method, Cross Choral Training™ - Brooklyn Youth Chorus

 

Current Positions: Faculty - Shenandoah Conservatory, Musical Theatre styles specialist (Pop, Rock, Country, R&B), Associate Director of the CCM Voice Pedagogy Institute.

 

Teachers: Peter Sicilian, Patricia O'Neill, Beverley Rinaldi, Metropolitan Opera Soprano Kay Griffel, Robert Grayson, and Peter Lightfoot. 

 

Current and Former Student Accomplishments: Students perform on and off-Broadway, on national and international tours, on cruise ships, at theme parks, and on national television and radio.

 

Performance Experience: Singer, guitarist, and pianist. Over 30 roles with opera and theatre companies including Tri-Cities Opera, New Jersey Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Lyric Opera Cleveland, Acadiana Symphony Orchestra, Theatre Lab Dayton, Ash Lawn Opera Festival, and many others.

 

Publications: Matt is the author of "So You Want to Sing Rock 'N' Roll?" as well as articles in the Journal of Voice, Journal of Singing, Southern Theatre, American Music Teacher, NYSTA VoicePrints, and has been interviewed by Classical Singer magazine and MusiciansFriend.com. His blog AuditioningForCollege.com has received over 700,000 views since 2011 and has been referenced by universities, coaching services, and teachers around the world.

Jackie relocated to Winchester, VA from Binghamton, NY in August of 2010. Before moving to Binghamton, Jackie lived in Baton Rouge, LA and prior to that Cleveland, OH. Below are a few highlights from Jackie's career.

Undergraduate education: Cleveland Institute of Music (Vocal Performance)/Case Western Reserve University (Theatre minor)

Graduate education: Louisiana State University

Faculty positions: Barbara Ingram School for the Arts, Acadiana Symphony Orchestra Conservatory of Music and Center Stage Performing Arts Academy

 

Current and Former Student Accomplishments: Accepted to university programs including the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music Musical Theater Program, Boston Conservatory and the Hartt School of Music, 1st place winner Wyoming County Fair Vocal Competition and opening act for Sawyer Brown. Students on Broadway and appearing in regional theatre and live music venues throughout the north east.
